The next day, we drove another 2.5 hrs to Malacca from Kuala Lumpur, to stay for the night. This time, the drive was so scary, we drove into a thunderstorm, the kind that you don't see in Singapore - at one point lightning flashed and thunder roared at the same time - we were THAT close, to the source of lightning. Luckily, we reached Malacca safely, and hungry, and so as planned before the trip up, we headed directly for Peranakan food (we all love ayam buah keluak) in the evening before heading to the weekend Jonker's Street night market for some pasar malam-style shopping.

Early next morning, we went to Farmosa area to take photos, following which we went to eat Malacca's own famous chicken rice balls... so yummy!
